Our winemaking team has done it again! Newport Vineyards’ wines earned five medals in the May 2024 American Fine Wine Competition, The Rosé Competition out of over 160 entries from around the world including California, Oregon, France, Australia, and more. The wines were evaluated and judged by a 16-member judging panel of wine industry educators, journalists, and sommeliers (held at the Florida International University’s Chaplin School of Hospitality and Tourism Management).

In 2021, the Dry Rosé won Best in Show at the competition. In 2022, Pinot Noir Dry Rosé won a Gold Medal alike 2024. Perhaps 2025 is its’ year for a Best in Show? The Great White Rosé took home ‘Best Rhode Island Wine’ in the 2022 Big E Wine Competition (2023 was awarded to our brand new red wine, In The Buff). Our wine portfolio has historically placed very well in wine competitions with numerous awards over the years. With the vines at their prime and approaching our 30th anniversary, we’re excited to see what’s next for the 25+ wines in our portfolio!
